Shane Lowry made history at the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla by shooting a 9-under 62, tying the lowest round in major championship golf history. This remarkable performance marks only the fifth time a 62 has been recorded in a major. Lowry narrowly missed a birdie putt on the 18th hole that would have given him the first-ever 61 in a major championship. Despite this, his round has placed him in a strong position going into the final round of the tournament. Pre-tournament, Lowry's odds were +9000, which improved to +800 after his impressive third round. He is now tied for the lead at Valhalla.
