Color Health and OpenAI Use GPT-4o to Develop AI Assistant for Cancer Treatment for 200,000 Patients
Jun 17, 2024, 12:32 PM
Color Health has developed an AI assistant, termed 'copilot,' using OpenAI’s GPT-4o model to help doctors screen and treat cancer patients. This collaboration aims to accelerate access to cancer treatment by identifying missing diagnostics and creating tailored workup plans. The AI tool is designed to make cancer expertise more equitable and accessible, allowing clinicians to bring specialized cancer knowledge into primary care and build risk-adjusted care plans. Color Health intends to use the copilot application to provide AI-generated personalized care plans for over 200,000 patients through the second half of 2024, according to press reports.
