Amazon Pharmacy Expands $5 Monthly Subscription to Medicare Patients, Adding 50M More People

Amazon Pharmacy announced on Tuesday that it is expanding its $5 monthly subscription service to include Medicare patients. The service, which covers a range of generic drugs, will now be available to those enrolled in government-backed Medicare insurance plans. With this expansion, Amazon stated that over 50 million more people will be eligible for the service. The program, known as rxPass, is available to Medicare users with Prime membership. The company's stock, $AMZN, was down 0.1% pre-market. This expansion is part of Amazon's Affordable Pharmacy initiative.
