Hezbollah Escalates Attacks, Fires Over 200 Rockets at Northern Israel; Netanyahu's Home Among Targets

Hezbollah intensified its attacks on northern Israel, launching over 200 rockets and drones from southern Lebanon into areas including Haifa, Kiryat Ata, Acre, and the Western Galilee. The attacks targeted both civilian and military sites, including the Ein Shemer base and the Rehabilitation and Maintenance Center at Base 7200 south of Haifa, using Fadi-2 rockets and attack drones. Hezbollah claimed to have targeted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's weekend home. Several rockets struck the city of Kiryat Ata in the Haifa Bay area, causing injuries to at least nine people, including two critically wounded, and damage to residential buildings and vehicles. The Israeli Defense Forces reported that some rockets were intercepted near Haifa, but others landed, prompting widespread sirens and forcing hundreds of thousands of Israelis to seek shelter. Hezbollah announced an escalation in its actions, stating the attacks were in retaliation for Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon.
