Ukrainian drones attacked an oil depot in Russia's Smolensk region overnight on December 31, causing a fire and fuel spill in the Yartsevo district. The regional governor, Vasily Anokhin, reported that fragments from a downed drone struck the facility, leading to a significant blaze at the oil depot. However, no residential buildings were reported to be under threat. Russian air defense systems downed a total of 68 Ukrainian drones across eight regions, with 10 destroyed over Smolensk.
