Sweden has decided to pause its plans to send JAS-39 Gripen fighter jets to Ukraine. This decision follows requests from other countries in the air defense coalition, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Norway, to prioritize the introduction of the American F-16 aircraft system in Ukraine. Swedish Defense Minister Paul Jonsson confirmed the decision to news agency TT, stating that the focus is now on providing Kyiv with F-16 fighter jets, which have already been pledged by several countries.
