The Polish Sejm has adopted a resolution condemning the genocide of Crimean Tatars by the Soviet authorities in 1944. The resolution was supported by 414 members of the Polish parliament, with 16 against and two abstaining, Ukrinform reported. The genocide, known as 'Sürgünlik,' involved the forcible deportation of 200,000 Crimean Tatars to Uzbekistan in May 1944, with very few survivors returning.
