West Virginia University has fired head football coach Neal Brown after six seasons. Brown compiled a 37-35 record during his tenure, including a 9-4 season a year ago and a 6-6 record this season, finishing 5-4 in the Big 12. The decision comes after a 52-15 loss to Texas Tech on Saturday. Brown's buyout is estimated at $9.775 million, and the university announced the firing on Sunday, with a team meeting scheduled for 4 p.m. to inform the players of the change.
