Senior aides to South Korea's impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol, including Chief of Staff Chung Jin-suk, Policy Chief Sung Tae-yoon, National Security Adviser Shin Won-sik, and Foreign Policy Adviser Chang Ho-jin, have offered to resign en masse. This collective resignation was tendered to Acting President Choi Sang-mok on New Year's Day, following his appointment of two new justices to the Constitutional Court, which is set to decide Yoon's fate. The aides' decision comes amid a political crisis, with Yoon facing allegations of leading an insurrection and a recent court approval for his arrest. Acting President Choi, who also serves as Finance Minister, has stated that he has no plans to accept these resignations, emphasizing the need to focus on stabilizing the country's affairs.
