Villagers in Bahraich Kill Final Wolf Ending Seven-Month Terror in Mahsi Region
Oct 6, 2024, 06:15 AM
Villagers in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, have killed the sixth and final wolf from a pack that terrorized the Mahsi region for seven months. The wolf pack had been responsible for attacking livestock and endangering villagers, resulting in the deaths of nine people, eight of whom were children. The last wolf was killed on October 5th after it attempted to attack a child and a goat in Tamachpur village. The operation, dubbed 'Operation Bhediya,' involved coordinated efforts from both villagers and forest department teams. The conclusion of this operation has brought relief to the residents of more than 55 villages affected by the attacks.
