Formula 1 Secures Monza's 'Temple of Speed' Until 2031 with Seven-Year Extension
Nov 27, 2024, 10:00 AM
Formula 1 has officially announced that the Italian Grand Prix at Monza will remain on the racing calendar until at least 2031, adding seven more seasons to its tenure. The extension, beyond the previous contract set to expire in 2025, was confirmed through an official statement. This agreement ensures that Monza, often called the 'Temple of Speed,' continues its unbroken presence in Formula 1 since 1950. Alongside Silverstone in Great Britain, Monza is one of the only circuits to feature in every Formula 1 season. The new contract aligns Monza's future with other historic venues like Monaco, which recently secured similar extensions.
