RNC Headquarters in DC Locked Down After Receiving Suspicious Package with Vials of Blood Addressed to Trump
May 22, 2024, 02:23 PM
The Republican National Committee (RNC) headquarters in Washington, D.C., was placed under lockdown on Wednesday morning after receiving a suspicious package containing vials of blood. The U.S. Capitol Police and a Hazmat team were dispatched to the scene to investigate the potential biohazard. The package, which was addressed to former President Donald Trump, caused significant concern and led to road closures around the area. Three sources told NBC News that there was a large police presence. The lockdown was lifted shortly before 10 a.m. after authorities determined there was no ongoing threat.
