A video showing a youngster voting eight times for BJP candidate Mukesh Rajput in Uttar Pradesh's Farrukhabad Lok Sabha constituency has gone viral. The incident, which occurred on May 13, has led to widespread concerns and calls for action from political parties including the Samajwadi Party, Congress, RJD, and TMC. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer, Navdeep Rinwa, has confirmed that an FIR has been registered under sections 171-F and 419 of the IPC, and sections 128, 132, and 136 of the RP Act 1951 at Nayagaon police station in Etah district. The accused has been arrested, and repolling has been recommended at the affected polling station.
