Alabama Leads LSU 21-6 at Half; Milroe Sets Record with Two Rushing TDs
Nov 10, 2024, 02:09 AM
At halftime in Baton Rouge, No. 11 Alabama holds a commanding 21-6 lead over No. 15 LSU, powered by quarterback Jalen Milroe's exceptional performance. Milroe opened the scoring with a 39-yard touchdown run and has rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries. His efforts have broken the school record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in a single season, with 14 touchdowns, surpassing Jalen Hurts' previous record of 13 set in 2016. Milroe also completed 10 of 15 passes for 97 yards. Alabama dominated the first quarter, leading 14-3 and outgaining LSU 150-44. The Crimson Tide has controlled the game, holding the ball for 19 minutes and 55 seconds in the first half and converting six of eight third-down attempts. Alabama's defense has limited LSU to 112 total yards and forced a critical turnover when Jihaad Campbell recovered a fumble.
