US Announces $425 Million Aid to Ukraine Including Air Defenses, 200 Stryker Vehicles, and Stinger Missiles

The United States has announced a new $425 million military aid package for Ukraine, aimed at bolstering its defense capabilities against Russian aggression. The package, approved under the Presidential Drawdown Authority, includes ammunition for NASAMS and HIMARS air defense systems, Stinger missiles, artillery shells of 155mm and 105mm caliber, Javelin and TOW anti-tank missiles, air-to-ground munitions, more than 200 M1126 Stryker armored personnel carriers, equipment to counter unmanned aerial systems, air defense interceptors, armored vehicles, and light tactical vehicles. The Department of Defense detailed that the assistance addresses Ukraine's urgent needs, including reinforcing its air defenses and ground capabilities.
