Coinbase has announced the introduction of pre-launch markets on its International Exchange and Coinbase Advanced platforms. This new feature allows users to trade tokens before they officially launch, providing an opportunity for price discovery in a trusted and secure environment. The first token to be listed in the pre-launch market is $EIGEN, with trading set to begin at 12:00pm UTC on June 18, 2024. This move positions Coinbase as the first major exchange to offer perpetual futures contracts on yet-to-be-launched tokens. The initiative is seen as a significant step in embracing new trends and expanding the trading options available to users. The service will exclude users from the US, Canada, and the UK. Trading will be based on the 4-hour exponential moving average (EMA).
