Google DeepMind Unveils Veo, a 1080p Generative AI Video Model at Google I/O
May 14, 2024, 06:14 PM
Google DeepMind has announced Veo, a new generative AI video model designed to compete with OpenAI's Sora. Veo can generate high-quality, 1080p resolution videos that are over 60 seconds long using text, image, or video prompts. The model supports various visual styles, from photorealism to surrealism and animation. Veo was unveiled at Google's I/O 2024 event and is being promoted with the help of filmmaker Donald Glover and his creative studio, Gilga. Users can join the waitlist to try out Veo through Google's experimental tool, VideoFX. Veo is part of Google's suite of generative AI tools available in Labs.
