Animoca Brands Launches OPAL Protocol with $BLIF and Runes Tokens on Bitcoin

Animoca Brands has announced a strategic expansion into the Bitcoin ecosystem with the launch of the OPAL Protocol, in collaboration with OpalBTC and powered by the $BLIF token and its Runes token. This initiative, also involving Animoca's subsidiary Darewise, aims to establish the largest Web3 ecosystem on Bitcoin, encompassing gaming, entertainment, decentralized finance (DeFi), education, and culture. Six of Animoca Brands' portfolio companies are set to embrace this new platform. The company has confirmed that all future Bitcoin-based projects will partner exclusively with OpalBTC. This move marks a significant pivot for Animoca Brands, an industry-leading blockchain investment firm, towards leveraging Bitcoin for its future projects.
