OpenAI Partners with Hearst for Magazine and Newspaper Content in ChatGPT
Oct 8, 2024, 04:34 PM
OpenAI has announced a significant partnership with Hearst Corp., a privately held media conglomerate, to license its U.S. newspaper and magazine content for use in OpenAI's products, including ChatGPT. This deal includes content from prominent Hearst publications such as the San Francisco Chronicle, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health, Women's Health, ELLE, and Esquire. The partnership covers more than 40 local newspapers and over 20 magazines. The partnership is part of OpenAI's broader strategy to secure licensing agreements with major media outlets, following previous deals with Conde Nast and Dotdash Meredith. The move is expected to enhance the quality and diversity of content available through OpenAI's AI-driven platforms.
