MLB to Revert to Traditional Uniforms for All-Star Game and Home Run Derby Next Season
Sep 30, 2024, 05:10 PM
Major League Baseball (MLB) announced that starting next season, players will wear their primary home and road uniforms for the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby. This marks a return to the traditional format, moving away from the All-Star specific jerseys introduced in 2024. Additionally, MLB will revert to the uniform materials, fit, and larger letter sizing used prior to 2024, addressing issues such as the Nike-Fanatics uniform crisis and see-through pants problem. Players will also wear special All-Star uniforms during the Workout Day. The changes will be fully implemented by the start of the 2026 season. The decision comes after widespread criticism of the redesigned jerseys for their awkward look and fit.
