Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell to Step Down as Senate GOP Leader After 16 Years
Nov 6, 2024, 04:44 PM

McConnell, the longtime Kentucky Sen. who has served as the Senate GOP leader for 16 years, announced earlier this year that he will step down as minority leader. This leadership change comes after the GOP flipped the Senate. The question of who will replace McConnell as Senate GOP leader remains deeply uncertain.
