Netanyahu reviewed the IDF's preparedness in the area and set guidelines for the future. Referring to the peak of Mount Hermon as 'the eyes of the State of Israel to detect near and far threats,' Netanyahu's visit marks a significant event as it is possibly the first time an Israeli Prime Minister has stepped foot on Syrian territory.
