The Big Ten Conference has fined both Michigan and Ohio State $100,000 each for violations of the league's sportsmanship policy following a postgame melee after their football game on Saturday in Columbus. In its official statement, the Big Ten cited that the actions of both teams violated fundamental elements of sportsmanship such as respect and civility and jeopardized the safety of participants and bystanders.
