49ers' McCaffrey Suffers Potential Season-Ending PCL Injury in 35-10 Loss to Bills
Dec 2, 2024, 02:58 AM
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey suffered a potentially season-ending PCL injury to his right knee during the team's 35-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night. McCaffrey went down with a non-contact injury in the second quarter and was initially listed as questionable to return. After evaluation in the medical tent and the locker room, he was downgraded to out for the remainder of the game. Head coach Kyle Shanahan announced post-game that McCaffrey had sustained a PCL injury that could end his season. McCaffrey has played in just four games this season due to a series of injuries.
