Binance Labs Rebrands to YZi Labs, Becomes Family Office with $10B Assets

Binance Labs, the venture capital arm of Binance overseeing about $10 billion in crypto-related assets, has rebranded to YZi Labs. The rebranding reflects its independence and expands its investment focus to include Web3, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology. Changpeng Zhao, known as CZ, the founder of Binance, will take an active role in YZi Labs' investment activities, providing direct mentorship and coaching to founders. Ella Zhang, a former head of Binance Labs, returns to lead YZi Labs. The transformation of Binance Labs into YZi Labs also marks its transition into a family office.
