Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has secured a $1B deal reached late in 2024 to supply servers optimized for artificial intelligence work to Elon Musk's social media platform, X. The agreement saw HPE outbid competitors Dell Technologies and Super Micro Computer for the contract. The servers are intended to support X's AI workloads, including those for xAI's Grok chatbot.
