The crown prince's pledge came after Trump's inauguration and marks the first call with a foreign leader since Trump's return to the White House. The two leaders discussed efforts to bring stability to the Middle East, bolster regional security, and combat terrorism, as well as opportunities to increase mutual prosperity through trade and investment. Trump also stated he would ask the crown prince to increase the investment to $1 trillion and urged Saudi Arabia and OPEC to reduce oil prices.
