During a news conference at Mar-a-Lago, Trump described the change as a "beautiful" improvement. The Gulf of Mexico, which borders several U.S. states including Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida, would be officially redesignated to reflect national interests. Mount Denali, the highest peak in North America, was renamed from Mount McKinley to Denali in 2015 by President Barack Obama; Trump's executive order would revert it to honor President William McKinley.
