China has completed the main structure of the Huajiang Grand Canyon Bridge in Guizhou Province, which is poised to become the tallest bridge in the world. The 2,890-meter-long steel girder suspension bridge features a vertical drop of 625 meters from the bridge deck to the Beipan River below. Construction began in 2022, and the bridge is expected to be operational in the second half of 2025. As of January 17, 2025, 93 sections of the bridge have been assembled, marking a significant milestone in its construction.
