Sweden has announced its largest military aid package to Ukraine to date, worth approximately 13.5 billion Swedish crowns ($1.2 billion or €1.1 billion). Announced by Defence Minister Pål Jonsson, the package includes priority equipment such as artillery and drones. 'The government is negotiating with suppliers in Sweden and Europe to deliver priority equipment such as artillery and drones,' Jonsson said. The aid also allocates $90 million to support Ukrainian production of long-range drones and missiles. Sweden will double its donation of Combat Boat 90s from 16 to 32, and provide 23 weapon stations, one million rounds of 12.7 mm ammunition, 1,500 TOW anti-tank missiles, 200 AT4 grenade launchers with training equipment, 146 trucks, and infantry and CBRN equipment. This marks Sweden's 18th aid package to Ukraine since 2022. Additionally, Sweden will provide military aid to Moldova in the form of AT4 anti-tank weapons.
