Solana Surpasses $200 Billion in Monthly DEX Volume, Achieving 5.053 Billion Transactions and $504.83 Billion in Volume

Solana has made history by becoming the first blockchain to surpass $200 billion in monthly decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume. This milestone was achieved with eight days remaining in January 2025, marking a notable achievement in the decentralized finance (DeFi) sector. In comparison, Ethereum and its mainstream Layer 2 solutions generated a total of 1.138 billion transactions and a DEX transaction volume of $504.83 billion over the past three months, alongside 82.56 million active addresses. Solana's performance has outpaced Ethereum and all its Layer 2s combined in monthly volume for the first time, with Solana recording a total of 5.053 billion transactions during the same period.
