China has introduced a new spherical police robot, reportedly developed by Zhejiang University, designed to enhance urban security. This robot, known as the RT-G, can operate autonomously and is capable of reaching speeds of 35 km/h (approximately 22 mph). Equipped with artificial intelligence, the robot is intended to assist police forces in both reconnaissance and active crime-fighting missions. It can pursue criminals and is said to feature a net-launching mechanism, although its handcuffing capabilities remain uncertain.
