Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, who was born in Tainan, Taiwan, confirmed during his recent visit to the country that the project is underway but cautioned that tangible results are expected to take several years. Huang's visit included a series of engagements with key industry figures, including a dinner with TSMC founder Morris Chang and a meeting with TSMC Chairman CC Wei, underscoring the close collaboration between the two companies. Additionally, Huang hosted a 'trillion dollar banquet' attended by 35 industry leaders. TSMC expressed confidence in the continuation of funding under the U.S. CHIPS Act during the incoming Trump administration, as stated by TSMC CFO Wendell Huang.
