JPMorgan COO Daniel Pinto to Retire by June 30, 2025, Jennifer Piepszak Named Successor
Jan 14, 2025, 03:10 PM
JPMorgan Chase & Co. has announced that Daniel Pinto, its president and chief operating officer, will retire at the end of 2026. Pinto, who has been with the bank for over four decades, will step down from his roles as president and COO by June 30, 2025. Jennifer Piepszak, a 30-year veteran at JPMorgan and currently the co-CEO of the commercial and investment bank, will succeed Pinto as the new COO effective immediately. Piepszak, previously considered a strong contender to succeed CEO Jamie Dimon, has stated she does not wish to be considered for the CEO position at this time. The transition reflects JPMorgan's ongoing focus on succession planning as Dimon approaches nearly two decades at the helm of the largest US bank.
