North Korea Fires Multiple Missiles from Jagang Province 250 km into East Sea
Jan 14, 2025, 01:34 AM
North Korea has fired multiple short-range ballistic missiles toward its eastern waters, according to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff. The missiles were launched around 9:30 AM local time from the vicinity of Kanggye in Jagang Province and flew approximately 250 kilometers before landing in the East Sea (Sea of Japan). Japan's Defense Ministry confirmed that the missiles did not enter Japanese territory, and no damage has been reported. This marks North Korea's second missile test in 2025, following a previous launch eight days prior. The launches come just days ahead of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump's return to office.
