Trump Open to Musk or Ellison Buying TikTok, Suggests US Get Half of $1 Trillion Value

President Donald Trump stated that he is open to Elon Musk purchasing TikTok, saying, "I would be if he wanted to buy it." Trump mentioned that he has met with TikTok's major owners and emphasized that the value of TikTok depends on obtaining a permit from the United States government, noting that without such a permit, it is "worthless," but with one, it could be worth up to $1 trillion. He suggested that if a deal is made, the United States should receive half of the value, saying, "I am thinking of saying to someone to buy TikTok and give half to the United States." Trump also expressed openness to Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison buying the app. This comes amid ongoing national security concerns surrounding TikTok's operations in the United States.
