China's next-generation KJ-3000 early warning aircraft (AWACS) has successfully completed its maiden flight. This new aircraft is based on the Y-20B transport platform, which features four WS-20 high bypass turbofan engines. The KJ-3000 is designed to enhance long-range stealth detection capabilities, incorporating advanced radar technology with conformal antennas. This development follows the recent introduction of two types of sixth-generation fighters and a new amphibious assault ship, indicating China's ongoing investment in its air power and military capabilities. The flight took place on December 27, 2024, at Xi'an Aircraft Industrial Corporation (XAC).
