President-elect Trump to Release JFK, RFK, MLK Assassination Records and Other Topics of Public Interest

President-elect Donald Trump announced plans to declassify and release all remaining government records related to the assassinations of President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert F. Kennedy, and civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., as well as other topics of great public interest. Speaking at a pre-inaugural rally in Washington on January 19, Trump said, "In the coming days, we are going to make public the remaining records relating to the assassinations." He added, "It's all going to be released." Trump described the move as a first step toward restoring transparency and accountability in government, pledging to reverse the over-classification of government documents.
