Dec 19, 2024, 05:31 AM
No. 24 UNLV defeated Cal 24-13 in the Art of Sport LA Bowl at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, securing their first bowl victory since 2000 and their first bowl win outside Las Vegas since 1984. With an interim head coach, UNLV completed their first-ever 11-win season, finishing 11-3 and ranked in the Top 25. Hajj-Malik Williams threw two touchdown passes, and Kylin James scored on a 29-yard touchdown run. Caden Chittenden added a 48-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. UNLV's defense held Cal, who was down to its fourth-string quarterback, scoreless in the second half, turning away eight consecutive drives. This marks one of the best seasons in the school's history.
