Missouri Tigers overcame a 10-point deficit to defeat the Iowa Hawkeyes 27-24 in the Music City Bowl, securing back-to-back 10-win seasons for the first time since 2013-2014. Missouri kicker Blake Craig, a freshman, propelled the Tigers to victory with two lengthy fourth-quarter field goals, including a decisive 56-yarder with 4:36 remaining. Iowa started strong, leading 21-14 at halftime, highlighted by a 100-yard kickoff return touchdown by All-American Kaden Wetjen and a 1-yard rushing score by Kamari Moulton. Quarterback Brendan Sullivan contributed with both passing and rushing plays. Missouri quarterback Brady Cook rallied his team, throwing for 341 yards and two touchdowns, including an 8-yard pass to Theo Wease, while wide receiver Marquis Johnson added seven receptions for 122 yards and a touchdown. Despite Iowa's efforts, including a solid ground game, the Hawkeyes were unable to contain Missouri's passing attack. In the final minutes, Iowa's offense was stopped on a crucial fourth-and-1 quarterback sneak. The defeat ended Iowa's 35-game win streak when scoring 21 or more points, dating back to 2019.
