Liverpool secured a 1-0 victory over Girona at Estadi Montilivi in the UEFA Champions League, maintaining their perfect record with six wins from six matches. The sole goal came in the 62nd minute from Mohamed Salah, who converted a penalty, marking his 50th European goal for the club. Salah now has 16 goals and 12 assists in 22 games this season. Alisson returned to goal for the first time since October 5 and delivered an outstanding performance, making five saves, four of which were from inside the box. Under manager Arne Slot, Liverpool became the first club to qualify for the Round of 16, dominating their group with 18 points, 13 goals scored, and only one conceded. Despite several clear chances and a strong performance, Girona were unable to secure a point and are virtually eliminated from the competition.
