Jacob Elordi in Talks to Star in Ridley Scott's Post-Apocalyptic Thriller 'The Dog Stars' for 20th Century Studios

Jacob Elordi is in early negotiations to replace Paul Mescal in Ridley Scott's upcoming post-apocalyptic thriller 'The Dog Stars' for 20th Century Studios. Mescal had to drop out of the project due to scheduling conflicts with Sam Mendes' Beatles anthology. 'The Dog Stars' is based on the 2012 novel by Peter Heller and follows a civilian pilot named Hig, who lives with his dog and a former marine in a near future where a pandemic has devastated American society. Elordi, known for his role in HBO's 'Euphoria,' is set to play Hig, who befriends a cranky gunman as they try to survive against a group of scavengers called Reapers. The film's screenplay was written by Mark L. Smith and Christopher Wilkinson, and it is expected to be Scott's next project following a Bee Gees biopic for Paramount.
