MSNBC President Rashida Jones Steps Down Ahead of Trump's Inauguration; Rebecca Kutler Named Interim Leader
Jan 14, 2025, 02:46 PM
Rashida Jones is stepping down as president of MSNBC after four years at the network. She will be replaced on an interim basis by Rebecca Kutler, senior vice president of content strategy, who was recently appointed to oversee daytime programming. The leadership change is effective immediately and comes just days before President-elect Donald Trump is set to take office. Comcast, MSNBC's parent company, is preparing to spin off several of its cable-TV assets into a separate company. Jones announced her departure internally on Tuesday, stating she is leaving to pursue new opportunities.
