Love's run ties the Notre Dame school record for longest rushing touchdown and is the first touchdown scored in the new playoff format. His explosive run down the left sideline electrified the home crowd in South Bend and marked a significant achievement against Indiana's top-ranked rushing defense, which had been allowing only 70 rushing yards per game.
