Colorado's Travis Hunter has been named the Chuck Bednarik Award winner as the nation's defensive player of the year and the Biletnikoff Award winner as the nation's top receiver, becoming the first player in college football history to win national awards for both offense and defense in the same season. The two-way star, who plays both wide receiver and cornerback, ranks in the top six nationally in receptions (92), receiving yards (1,152), and touchdowns (14).
