Biden Claims at State Department That China Will Never Economically Surpass U.S.
Jan 13, 2025, 08:50 PM
President Joe Biden, in a foreign policy review before leaving office, asserted that China will never economically surpass the United States. Speaking at the State Department, led by Antony Blinken, Biden highlighted that the U.S. is now stronger than it was four years ago and emphasized that the country has not gone to war to achieve this. He referenced the latest economic predictions to support his claim that China, on its current trajectory, will not overtake the U.S. economically. Biden also noted that the U.S. has managed its relationship with China responsibly during his administration, and he stressed that the U.S. is winning the global competition in the new era of global economy and technology.
