Jan 20, 2025, 01:49 PM
President-elect Donald Trump arrived at St. John's Episcopal Church in Washington D.C. for a prayer service on Inauguration Day, marking the beginning of the day's events leading up to his swearing-in for a second term as the 47th President of the United States. Accompanied by incoming First Lady Melania Trump, Trump attended the traditional service alongside Vice President-elect JD Vance and his wife Usha Vance. Members of Trump's family, including Ivanka and Eric Trump, were also present. The service at St. John's Church, located near the White House, is a long-standing tradition for presidents-elect before their inauguration ceremony at the Capitol. Following the service, Trump and President Joe Biden are scheduled to have tea at the White House before departing for the Capitol.
