Missile from Yemen Triggers Sirens Across Central Israel; Residents Told to Stay Indoors
Jan 18, 2025, 08:20 AM
Sirens sounded across central Israel, including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Lod, and areas around Ben Gurion Airport, on Saturday following the launch of a projectile from Yemen, according to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). The alarms were activated after a missile, possibly a long-range ballistic missile launched by the Houthis in Yemen, was detected. Residents reported sounds of explosions, and the IDF advised people to stay indoors as the details of the incident were being investigated. Sirens also sounded in wide areas north and east of Ashdod.
