Christopher Nolan's next film has been officially announced by Universal Pictures as 'The Odyssey', an adaptation of Homer's epic poem. Nolan confirms that filming will begin in the first quarter of 2025. Described as a mythic action epic, it will follow the tale of Odysseus and his 10-year journey home after the Trojan War. The film will be shot across the world using brand new IMAX film technology, bringing Homer's foundational saga to IMAX screens for the first time. The ensemble cast includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson, and Charlize Theron. 'The Odyssey' is scheduled for release in theaters on July 17, 2026.
