Trump to Declare National Emergency, End Birthright Citizenship, Deploy Troops to Border

President-elect Donald Trump plans to declare a national emergency on border security, according to incoming administration officials. Upon taking office, Trump intends to sign 10 executive orders related to immigration and border control, including deploying U.S. troops under NORTHCOM to the southern border, completing the border wall, ending asylum access, terminating birthright citizenship for children of undocumented immigrants, and restarting the 'Remain in Mexico' policy. The executive orders will also designate cartels as global terrorist organizations, clarify the military's role in border security, end 'catch and release,' terminate President Joe Biden's mass parole programs such as the CBP One App and migrant flights, and suspend refugee resettlement for at least four months.
